Home Decor

My favorite season is Fall, so I chose to create a Thanksgiving table decoration. I started out with plastic decorative pumpkins which can be purchased at your local craft or box store.

All of the fabrics, I chose for the larger pumpkin where neutral colors with different patterns and texture. I even used a piece of vintage lace. I cut various sized strips and colored with a Distress Reinker Mixtures, which consists of a  Mini Mister, a dropper full of Distress Reinker, a dash of Perfect Pearls and water.  When dry I adhered the fabric to the pumpkin using Claudine Hellmuth's Multi Medium.

Using my Tattered Floral Die, I cut flowers from multiple mediums, cardboard, fabric and coffee filters. They also were colored using my Distress Reinker Mixtures. The colors used were Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Aged Mahogany, Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Dried Marigold

I created a stem from a stiffer fabric and arranged the flowers around it. I added a colored piece of seam binding for an accent.

I also, used Petaloo - Embossed Leaves, coloring them in the same fashion and accenting with Peeled Paint Distress Stickles.

For the smaller pumpkin, I stamped on a piece of linen with the Tree Design Block, then spritzed the fabric with Rusty Hinge.

Once again I used a variety of flowers and a piece of colored seam binding.

This project can also be made using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

Hope I've inspired you to create you own Fall Centerpiece......and enjoy the season!!
